Atlasta Ranch Turkey Tuesday

Minnie Pauline Blair arrived in Fallon on a cold and windy April day in 1924 with her husband and her family. She soon began raising turkeys , in a very confined area, where sanitation practices were of the utmost importance. By 1930, she was in the turkey business on a commercial scale and shipped her prime turkeys, under the “Atlasta Turkey” brand, to the 38 states and provided Thanksgiving dinner for Franklin D. Roosevelt’s White House gathering.
