U.S. Fish & Wildlife Narrative Report 1951

“Clumps of dead Indian Rice Grass, grazed off. Drought, spring grazing, and wind erosion cause the decline of this valuable desert grass. Winter Grazing, only, in Indian Lakes might bring this plant back, but this would eliminate marsh grazing here as the forage is good only in spring and summer.” U.S. Fish & Wildlife Narrative Report 1951
