These two young Ratti boys are “working” on the rails at the Bango Railroad Siding: Ulysses Ratti (standing); Reno, kneeling. Julios Ratti, father of the boys, became foreman of the Bango Station about 1929 and remained there throughout his lifetime. He also served as Mayor and as Chief of Police. Bango was a Section Station on the Southern Pacific Railroad and home for many section hands on that stretch of rails. The site had a post office as early as 1911.
