Sugar Beet Factory

These are the boilers that were inside the Sugar Beet Factory. The factory was located at the base of Rattlesnake hill and remained in Business until the late 1920’s.  Early on, the project was called “Uncle Sam’s Nine Million Dollar Farm!” and was the largest building ever constructed in Fallon.  However, the sugar beet industry didn’t do well in Churchill County and the factory was destroyed in 1934.
