Churchill County Museum is proud to be one of the few places where you can still purchase new copies of In the Shadow of Fox Peak by Catherine S. Fowler, the most comprehensive ethnographic study of the Cattail-Eater (or Toi-Ticutta) people of Stillwater Marsh. This 264-page book provides great insights into the traditional ways of life for the Toi-Ticutta, based primarily off of accounts from two elders, Wuzzie George and Alice Steve.
